Exciting news awaits fans of the ‘Five Nights At Freddy’s’ franchise! Production for the highly anticipated ‘Five Nights At Freddy’s 2’ movie is set to kick off in July 2024, marking a swift return for the series following the triumph of the first film.

There’s even speculation that the sequel could hit cinemas around 2025, potentially in the summer, surprising fans with its early arrival. The upcoming movie serves as a follow-up to the 2023 horror flick ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s,’ which was inspired by Scott Cawthon’s popular video game series. Starring Josh Hutchinson, the first film follows the eerie experiences of a security guard at a haunted pizza place.

Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, it grossed over $241 million at the box office.

The confirmation of a sequel comes as no surprise, given the financial success of the initial movie. Josh Hutcherson confirmed the news to Variety during a January interview, hinting that filming would commence shortly.

He expressed, “I know they’re in the process right now of nailing down the story, and they want to get going as soon as possible. Obviously, the fans are amazing and die-hard. For me to be a part of it was so cool and phenomenal.” He continued, “We hoped it would connect with audiences, but I don’t think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did. I’m dying to get back on set. Emma Tammi, our director, was fantastic and it was such a fun world to play in. I’m excited to see what they are doing next.”

The new movie will draw inspiration from the second game in the series and promises to deliver even more thrills and chills. Hutcherson is set to reprise his role and there’s a possibility that Piper Rubio may return as well
