Glass Animals have released a new music video for their 2016 track ‘Take a Slice’, which has recently experienced a major resurgence online. The group said the video—launched on 17th June—was designed to be different every time it's watched. Originally featured on their album ‘How To Be a Human Being’, the song has found new life on social media, especially through the TikTok trend “Watching your enemy’s downfall”, where it has racked up around two million daily views.

To mark the song’s viral comeback, the band launched an experimental video through a dedicated website. Created by Dave Bayley and Drew MacFarlane, the visual experience was designed to mirror the chaotic and ever-changing landscape of internet culture. According to an opening caption, the video was described as a product of the internet made entirely from random YouTube clips, with each play delivering a unique result. The band joked that the video didn’t represent their views, but rather the “insanity of the internet”, placing the blame squarely on “the algorithm”.

Pizza Pop-Up And Tour Expansion Mark ‘Take a Slice’ Revival

To mark the release, Glass Animals are said to have taken over Scarr’s Pizza in New York City, where they handed out pizza to fans and hinted at ‘Take a Slice’ lyrics and visuals throughout the venue.

The group also announced an extension of their ongoing ‘Tour of Earth’, which originally kicked off in August last year to support their fourth studio album, ‘I Love You So F***ing Much’. The tour has included stops across the US, UK, and Europe, with supporting acts such as The Big Moon, Kevin Abstract, and Blondshell. Additional North American dates are scheduled for later this month.
