Glen Powell is set to return to the big screen in early 2026 as the star of A24's newly retitled thriller 'How to Make a Killing.' The studio has confirmed a 20th February 2026 theatrical release for the film, directed and written by John Patton Ford. The project, formerly known as 'Huntington,' also features Margaret Qualley and Ed Harris in major roles.
What is 'How to Make a Killing' About?
Inspired by Robert Hamer's 1949 British crime classic 'Kind Hearts and Coronets,' the story follows Becket Redfellow, played by Glen Powell. After being pushed out by his immensely wealthy family, Becket becomes determined to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his, using any means necessary to secure his inheritance.
Ford's screenplay has had a long journey to the screen, originally earning a spot on the 2014 Black List under the title 'Rothchild.' Earlier iterations of the project had Shia LaBeouf and Mel Gibson attached when Jon S. Baird was slated to direct.
