Travis Kelce spills the beans on the inception of his love story with Taylor Swift! The Kansas City Chiefs tight end shares that their connection had already been brewing for almost a month before she graced his game against the Chicago Bears on 24th September 2023.

In an interview on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, Kelce, 34, disclosed the behind-the-scenes details. Three days before Swift attended the Chiefs-Bears game, Kelce had playfully thrown the ball in her court, inviting her to witness him in action. On the show, he casually mentioned this, only to reveal later that he already knew she’d be there.

“It wasn’t just an out-of-the-blue, ‘Hey, come to the game,'” Kelce explained. Swift, 34, has since been a consistent presence at 12 of Kelce’s games.

Expressing his delight, Kelce shared, “I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends. It’s been nothing but a wonderful year, man,” during his chat with McAfee.

Acknowledging the newfound attention on their relationship, Kelce admitted it’s a fresh experience but one he’s thoroughly enjoying. “You know, it’s been a crazy, crazy ride that I could have never anticipated,” he continued. “But I’m having fun with it. The majority of the world is having fun with it, outside all the cranky NFL fans that just don’t want to see the Chiefs win.”

The whispers of a possible romance between the two ignited when the athlete attended the singer’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium and made a bold attempt to share his number with her.

In a candid revelation on their New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast in July, he shared the backstory, saying, “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.” However, he expressed being “a little butthurt” as he missed the opportunity due to her hectic pre-show preparations.

Kelce revealed his disappointment, explaining, “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” during a heartfelt conversation with his older brother, Jason.
