Beyoncé thrilled fans in France with an unexpected appearance from Jay-Z during the closing night of the European leg of her ongoing ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour. The surprise took place during her third and final concert at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis on 22nd June.
This marked a particularly special moment for the audience, as it was the first time the couple had performed live together in seven years. Their last onstage collaboration had been during their co-headlining ‘On The Run II’ tour back in 2018.
The pair treated the crowd to a performance of their iconic duet ‘Crazy in Love’, followed by Jay-Z’s hit ‘N***** in Paris’. During the performance, Jay-Z took over all the verses himself, deliberately leaving out any references to his former collaborator Kanye West. He even modified the original lyric “Just might let you meet Ye” to “Just might let you meet me”.
Once ‘N***** in Paris’ concluded, Jay-Z left the stage, allowing Beyoncé to carry on with her set as she performed ‘Drunk in Love’ and ‘Partition’. Fan-filmed footage of the moment quickly circulated online.

Beyoncé Brings Out Miley Cyrus Amid Critically Acclaimed Tour
Earlier in the same venue, Beyoncé had also brought out Miley Cyrus to perform their track ‘II Most Wanted’ together for the first time. She told the crowd that she wanted to do something special for them and said she couldn’t have done it without the help of Cyrus. She called the singer an icon and expressed admiration for her, telling fans she was grateful to perform alongside her.
The tour has been met with critical acclaim, with Beyoncé’s recent performance in London. She was praised as a flawless performer, with the ability to sing perfectly even while riding a mechanical bull, and that her ability to deliver large-scale stadium spectacles only continued to improve.
