Jennifer Garner Shares Band Photos and 'Sally the Sexy Saxophone'

Jennifer Garner is reminiscing about her musical past with a dose of humour. The '13 Going on 30' actress, aged 51, took a trip down memory lane by sharing amusing throwback photos on Instagram from her time in the John Adams Junior High Marching Band. One snapshot captures Garner proudly posing with her saxophone in hand, clad in her band uniform.

In a carousel of photos, the 'Family Switch' star showcased her musical prowess alongside fellow bandmates, even adding her band hat to complete the ensemble in the last picture. Garner playfully dubbed her saxophone "Sally the Sexy Saxophone" in the caption, describing her as a true boss.

"Sally the Sexy Saxophone, she was a boss. 🎷," Garner affectionately captioned the post.

Fans may recall hearing about "Sally" in 2016 when Garner discussed her school band days during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. In the throwback conversation, Garner humorously admitted to misplacing Sally, prompting Meyers to jokingly comment on the depth of her affection for the instrument.

Notably, Garner seems to have found a replacement for Sally, as evidenced by a saxophone performance in a birthday video for Reese Witherspoon in March 2019. Wearing a complete marching band uniform, Garner played Phil Collins' 'A Groovy Kind Of Love' in homage to their shared high school memory.

This nostalgic social media post follows Garner's recent share of a relatable struggle on Instagram, where she humorously grappled with folding a sleeping bag back into its sack. Her caption humorously reflected on the challenges she faced in the process.

"Oh, why does the Lord test me in these ways?" Garner playfully questioned in the clip, set to the tune of Édith Piaf's “Non, je ne regrette rien.” Accompanying the post, she added, "Do you see my problem, at least? #fromthevault."
