Jennifer Hudson And Orville Peck Set to Receive Honorary GLAAD Awards at New York City Ceremony
The duo is set to receive honorary awards from GLAAD, a prominent media advocacy organisation known for its dedication to promoting inclusivity and acceptance.
Jennifer Hudson will be honoured with GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award, recognizing her significant contributions as an ally in advocating for equality and support for the community.

GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis praised Hudson for her impactful allyship, highlighting her consistent efforts to amplify LGBTQ voices across various platforms, including her talk show where she regularly features inspiring LGBTQ changemakers.
On the other hand, Orville Peck will be presented with the Vito Russo Award at the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York. This award celebrates LGBTQ media professionals who have played a pivotal role in advancing acceptance and representation.
Ellis commended Peck for his courage in navigating the music industry authentically and for his collaborations with esteemed artists like Willie Nelson and Lady Gaga, which have helped foster a sense of belonging for the LGBTQ community within the genre.
The 2024 GLAAD Media Awards, designed to honour media that champion fair, accurate, and inclusive portrayals of LGBTQ individuals and issues, will be hosted by Ross Mathews.
