Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's Red Carpet Romance at 'This Is Me...Now' Premiere

Just ahead of Valentine's Day, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck graced the red carpet together for the Los Angeles premiere of her latest Amazon original, ‘This Is Me...Now: A Love Story.’ The dazzling event unfolded at the Dolby Theatre on Tuesday night, drawing attention from stars like Derek Hough, America Ferrera, Fat Joe and Xochitl Gomez.

‘This Is Me...Now: A Love Story’ is a musical and visual journey, reimagining the life events that inspired Lopez's upcoming album, serving as a sequel to her 2002 hit, ‘This Is Me...Then.’ The project, featuring cameos from stars like Trevor Noah and Jane Fonda, has been a labor of love for the 54-year-old Lopez, who expressed at a recent press conference how her real-life love story with 51-year-old Affleck fueled her determination to bring this project to life.

Affleck's encouraging words played a key role in pushing Lopez to embrace her multifaceted talents. "I was like, ‘I don’t write, I don’t do this.’ He was like, ‘You do, you write, you direct, you produce, you choreograph, you do all the things. Start stepping into that, start owning a little bit of who you are,’” she shared, recalling their conversation.

The couple, married in July 2022 after rekindling their romance, has a history that inspired much of the film's direction, according to director Dave Meyers. Meyers highlighted a poignant scene where Lopez, metaphorically representing her past pain, worked as a construction worker at a heart factory, symbolizing the emotional turmoil she endured during their initial breakup.

Their on-screen collaboration extends beyond the premiere, as Lopez and Affleck recently starred together in a Super Bowl commercial. The ad showcased Affleck forming a boy band, the DunKings, with friends Matt Damon and Tom Brady. An extended version of the ad humorously captures Affleck seeking Lopez's musical guidance, adding another charming layer to their real-life and on-screen chemistry.
