During an episode of Dax Shepherd’s Armchair Expert podcast, Cena addressed the rumoured feud between Johnson and Diesel. The actor and former WWE wrestler acknowledged the swirling rumours, stating, “There’s certainly rumours about that. I can’t deny that.”

Offering insight into the situation, Cena remarked, “You have two very alpha, driven people. You get two. There can only be one.”

The speculation ignited in 2016 when Johnson took to Instagram during the filming of ‘The Fate Of The Furious,’ venting about an unnamed co-star’s unprofessional behaviour. Referring to them as “candy asses,” Johnson hinted at on-set tensions, indicating his frustration.

Ahead of the film’s release, Diesel addressed the situation, suggesting that the feud had been exaggerated by fans. He emphasised the camaraderie shared between them, referring to Johnson as “Uncle Dwayne.”

Reflecting on the incident years later, Johnson expressed regret over his public outburst. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2021, he admitted that sharing his frustrations publicly went against his nature. Johnson stressed that while he meant what he said, airing it out publicly was not the right approach, acknowledging that it wasn’t his finest moment.
