JoJo Siwa is stepping into a new era, leaving her Dance Moms past behind and embracing a more mature image. Alongside her evolving music career, Siwa is drawing direct inspiration from Miley Cyrus’ iconic 2013 Bangerz era, evident in her recent public appearances.
At Trixie Mattel’s Pride Disco show in Central Park, Siwa made a bold statement with her outfit, channelling a vibe reminiscent of Cyrus’ famous style. She performed in a striking ensemble featuring a red, silver, and black bra adorned with teddy bear heads, paired with matching hot pants, red boots, and a teddy bear headband. This look mirrors Cyrus’ 2013 MTV VMAs appearance, where she also wore a teddy bear-themed outfit.

During her performance, Siwa addressed a heckler who booed her, showcasing her new, assertive persona. The teddy bear bra made another appearance in the music video for her song “Guilty Pleasures,” released recently. This outfit pays homage to Cyrus’ controversial VMA costume, which featured a fuzzy teddy bear bodysuit and dancers in bear costumes.
