Marvel star Jonathan Majors is set to break his silence in an exclusive interview with ABC News anchor Linsey Davis on 'Good Morning America.' This marks his first public appearance since being found guilty of misdemeanour assault and harassment charges in connection with an alleged altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in Manhattan's Chinatown last month.
Following the high-profile trial, Marvel Entertainment, a division of Disney, announced its decision to part ways with Majors in December. This news comes as a significant blow, considering Majors' notable role as Kang the Conqueror in the 2023 film 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' and his involvement in the current season of the Disney+ series 'Loki.'

The actor, also known for his role in 'Creed III,' was poised for a prominent presence in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe titles, including a fifth 'Avengers' movie. The aftermath of the trial resulted in a split verdict, with Majors found guilty of misdemeanour assault in the third degree, recklessly causing physical injury and harassment in the second degree.

The charges stem from an alleged altercation with Jabbari that spilled onto the streets of Chinatown in March. The jury, in a nuanced decision, found Majors not guilty of intentional assault and aggravated harassment. In response to the verdict, Priya Chaudhry, one of Majors' defence lawyers, expressed gratitude for the jury's rejection of Jabbari's account of the incident.

Chaudhry's statement conveyed disappointment in the jury's determination that Majors acted recklessly while being attacked. Despite the legal setbacks, the actor remains hopeful, expressing gratitude for the support from his loved ones and fans throughout the challenging eight-month period.
Looking ahead, Majors faces a sentencing hearing on 6th February, with the possibility of serving up to a year in jail. As he navigates this legal chapter, he maintains faith in the judicial process and anticipates the opportunity to clear his name fully.
