Josh Allen is giving credit where it's due, and that spotlight is firmly on his wife, Hailee Steinfeld.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 29, recently opened up in an interview shared by ESPN Originals, where he spoke warmly about the actress and singer and shared what she has helped him realise about himself since they've been together.
Josh Allen's Feelings For Hailee Steinfeld
Allen described Steinfeld, also 29, as an undeniable rockstar both professionally and personally. He made it clear how much she means to him, saying she is exactly what he needs in his life and praising her strength, talent, and character.

When asked what Steinfeld has taught him about himself, Josh Allen paused before sharing a thoughtful answer. He explained that being with her helped him see that he is more than just a football player. Growing up, his entire focus and dream revolved around making it to the NFL, and he never allowed himself to imagine life beyond the game. While football is still his passion and something he hopes to keep doing for a long time, their relationship has helped him understand there's more to who he is.
Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld's Relationship
Allen and Steinfeld began dating in May 2023 and quietly married in May 2025. In December 2025, they announced they are expecting their first child together, sharing the news through Steinfeld's Substack newsletter. Shortly after, they posted the same video on Instagram, where Allen left a loving comment showing his excitement and support.
The ESPN interview clip was shared just one day after both had major wins on 11th January. Allen led the Bills to a 27–24 playoff victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Steinfeld celebrated success at the Golden Globes. Her film 'Sinners' won two awards, including Best Original Score and the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement honour.

Although Allen couldn't attend the Golden Globes in person due to his playoff game, he still made sure to support his wife. He shared a post on Instagram praising her look as she walked the red carpet in a chic maternity outfit designed by Prada, adding enthusiastic emojis to show his admiration.
Next up, Josh Allen and the Bills head into the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, where they will face the Denver Broncos on 17th January, as they continue their push toward the 2026 Super Bowl.
