Earlier in the month, Hudson made her TV performance debut as a singer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with her song ‘Gonna Find Out’ from the same album. Dressed in a white tassel dress with a lace-up front, the ‘Almost Famous’ star sang the catchy chorus, “I guess we’re gonna find out/ Oh, we’re gonna find out/ Yeah, I’m gonna find out/ If you’re gonna come up to my house,” showcasing her versatility and charm.

During her conversation with host Jimmy Fallon, Hudson expressed her excitement about releasing her debut album, which was “two and a half years in the making.” She described the experience as the “greatest feeling,” explaining that music had always been her first love and that she had been writing songs her whole life. The decision to release her music publicly came during the COVID-19 pandemic, as she felt she would regret not sharing it with the world.

Hudson released her 12-track album Glorious, featuring a blend of rock, soul, country, Americana, and pop songs. She co-wrote the album with Linda Perry and her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa. In her May cover story, Hudson discussed how her approach to songwriting has evolved over time.

“When I was younger, it was harder to write more hopeful songs. Now I think I have a better understanding and connection to uplifting lyrics,” she shared. While Hudson has no plans to give up acting, she emphasises her passion for singing. “I’m just happy singing. I really am,” she said. “Even if it’s to a room of 20 people — I’m very happy there.”
