Kelly Clarkson, accompanied by guitarist Jaco Caraco, delivered a poignant rendition of Judy Garland's timeless classic ‘Over the Rainbow’ on a recent episode of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.'
Dressed in an elegant long-sleeved black dress and adorned with silver earrings, Clarkson's performance was a soulful journey through the iconic lyrics first heard in the beloved film 'The Wizard of Oz.' Against a backdrop of dimly lit purple lights, Clarkson's heartfelt delivery captivated the audience, who listened in rapt attention.

This rendition was part of Clarkson's popular segment Kellyoke, where she showcases her versatility by covering songs from various genres. Previous performances on Kellyoke have included hits like Justin Bieber's ‘Sorry’, ABBA's ‘Dancing Queen’ and Aerosmith's ‘Dream On’.
However, ‘Over the Rainbow’ holds a special significance for Clarkson beyond its musical beauty. In an appearance, she revealed that she often sings to her children, River Rose and Remington ‘Remy’ Alexander, whom she shares with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
In a more recent conversation, Clarkson reflected on how her fame has become a normal part of her children's lives. Despite their familiarity with her celebrity status, Clarkson remains committed to instilling in them values of gratitude and appreciation.
"It's so normalised for them. So, they don't even see it as anything weird," she shared. "They're like, 'Can I bring my friend?' And I'm like, 'OK, well, maybe we'll just bring you right now.' "Clarkson emphasised the importance of teaching her children about privilege and ensuring they understand the value of gratitude amidst their unique upbringing.
