Kylie Jenner's Christmas Tree Sparks Controversy With Unique Holiday Decor

Kylie Jenner's Christmas tree is causing mixed reactions, as she shared a glimpse of it on 13th December. The Kylie Cosmetics founder revealed a rather slender tree with minimal branches, but the controversy stirred around the addition of a divisive holiday decoration: tinsel. The tree was adorned with heavy bunches of tinsel cascading down from each branch, accompanied by red-beaded garland.

While some holiday enthusiasts appreciate tinsel for its sparkle and nostalgic charm, it has fallen out of favour in recent decades, with some opting to avoid it altogether, especially those dealing with the post-holiday cleanup. The Kardashian-Jenner sisters are known for engaging with their fans on social media, so it remains to be seen where Kylie's followers stand on the tinsel debate.

Notably, the silver-bedecked Christmas tree is not Jenner's only one. During Thanksgiving dinner, Kylie provided another sneak peek of her main Christmas tree in a short clip on her Instagram story. The tree features classic white lights and colourful ornaments shaped like snowmen, sleighs, and Santa, showcasing a festive and towering display.

Although this year's Christmas tree from Kylie Jenner doesn't seem to match the size of the one from the previous year, keen fans will notice familiar ornaments and lights. Kylie, along with her well-known sisters, including Kendall, Kim Kardashian, Khloé, and Kourtney, is renowned for their extravagant Christmas trees and decorations. The Kardashian Jenners are no strangers to making controversial choices when it comes to Christmas decor.

Kim Kardashian, in particular, has made headlines for displaying a collection of marshmallow-like white sculptures reminiscent of a whimsical forest in her home for several years.

Despite the modern and unique decorations not appealing to everyone, Kim defended her choice. In 2020, she brought back the Whoville-inspired display, referencing the fictional town from Dr. Seuss's ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’. The distinctive fluffy creations, crafted by Australian contemporary artist Kathy Temin, were estimated to have a hefty price tag of at least $10,000 each, as noted by an event designer familiar with the artist.

However, this year, Kim has opted for a more classic approach, filling the hallways of her all-white home with traditional evergreens featuring fake snow flocking.
