Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis Tease New Music in For ‘Freaky Friday 2′
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are set to thrill fans once again, as they confirm that new music from Pink Slip will feature in the upcoming ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel. The pair, who originally starred in the 2003 Disney remake of Jodie Foster’s classic 1976 film, recently took the stage at Disney’s D23 event in Anaheim to share some exciting updates on the highly anticipated follow-up, now titled ‘Freakier Friday.’
Fans of the original film will fondly remember one of its standout scenes, where Lohan’s character, Anna, rocks out to ‘Take Me Away’ with her fictional band, Pink Slip, during a Battle of the Bands. This iconic moment, filmed at the House of Blues in Hollywood, even caught the attention of director Quentin Tarantino.

In a recent interview with People, Curtis and Lohan revealed that Pink Slip will be making a comeback in the 2025 sequel. “Pink Slip is back, let’s put it that way,” Curtis announced, with Lohan promising even more of the band in the new film. Reflecting on their time filming the original, Lohan shared a funny anecdote: “When we were filming the songs, audience members were like, ‘Encore!’ And we were like, ‘We only have one song, we didn’t think this through! But there are more songs in this movie.’”
Curtis hinted at a new song in the sequel, describing it as one that “tugs on your heartstrings,” with Lohan chiming in that it’s destined to be a hit. “It’ll be the song of the summer next summer. I guarantee it,” Curtis declared confidently. Lohan agreed, recalling a particularly emotional moment on set: “Last night we were filming a scene. I’ll say, we bring some things back. But just seeing the reaction that people had to it was so heart-warming. Like I almost wanted to cry because I didn’t realise how Pink Slip became so huge.”
