Lindsay Lohan made sure that 'Mean Girls' Day didn't pass without a little sparkle—even with Taylor Swift stealing some of the spotlight.

Every year on 3rd October, fans of the iconic 2004 teen comedy 'Mean Girls' celebrate the moment Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was—a line that became one of pop culture’s most quoted exchanges. But this year, the annual celebration coincided with another major pop event: the release of Taylor Swift's 12th studio album, 'The Life of a Showgirl.'

Rather than letting the day belong entirely to Swift, Lohan added her own playful twist. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a photo of herself with a digitally added showgirl feather headpiece, blending her 'Mean Girls' legacy with Swift's glitzy new 'The Life of a Showgirl' era. The image featured the words "It's October 3rd," and "The Life of a Fetch Girl," a cheeky nod that reminded everyone she's still the original queen of the day.

The post quickly gained traction among fans who loved seeing Lohan join in on the cultural crossover between 'Mean Girls' nostalgia and Swift's latest release.

Other Stars Who Celebrated 'Mean Girls' Day with 'The Life of a Showgirl' Glamour

Lindsay Lohan wasn't the only star from the beloved film to mark the occasion. Jonathan Bennett, who played Aaron Samuels, partnered with United Airlines for a humorous promotional video about travelling on 3rd October, which he referred to as his "own holiday." In the clip, Bennett joked with a seatmate decked out in orange and showgirl-inspired sparkle, playfully referencing the film's famous line.

Lacey Chabert, known for her role as Gretchen Wieners, also joined the fun by posting throwback photos from the set and wishing fans a happy Mean Girls Day.

Lohan later revealed that her connection to the date doesn’t stop with 'Mean Girls.' In a recent interview with Collider's Perri Nemiroff, she mentioned that the wedding scene in her upcoming movie 'Freakier Friday,' just happens to take place on 3rd October—a coincidence no one noticed until it was too late. According to Lohan, the date appeared on the wedding invitations used on set, and it wasn't until filming began that she pointed out the connection, reminding everyone that it was 'Mean Girls' Day.
