Lindsay Lohan’s Nostalgic Nod to Her Style From ‘Just My Luck’

It has been almost twenty years since Lindsay Lohan played the foolish public relations expert Ashley Albright in the romantic comedy ‘Just My Luck’. Nevertheless, she still seems to possess some of the character’s style.

During her most recent press tour supporting the recently launched Netflix movie ‘Irish Wish’, the actress, 37, returned to some of the fashion elements that characterized her on-screen personas in the early 2000s. Lohan rose to fame in teen comedies such as ‘Georgia Rule’ and ‘Freaky Friday’.

Lohan wore stylish white outfits, bold jackets, and playful accessories that evoked the spirit of the early 2000s this month as she juggled appearances on daytime talk shows and went to the Irish Wish premiere.

On 6th March, Lohan—now a mother of eight-month-old Luai—braved the rainy streets of New York City wearing white pants by David Koma and an embellished white top emphasized by a puffy furry jacket by Zimmerman. She accessorized the ensemble with a gold Dolce & Gabbana clutch, large Y2K-style sunglasses, and Type Jewelry’s Tube Drip Diamond Hoop Earrings.

Lohan disregarded the “no white before Memorial Day” rule again the next day. This time, she went with a draped white top by AWAKE MODE, tied at the waist with delicate 2000s-style ruffles, and white trouser pants. Her oversized Otra Reina sunglasses and Lizard Small Top Handle bag from Hunting Season went well with her Magda Butrym peacoat.

These all-white looks could have been taken straight out of the wardrobe of her ‘Just My Luck’ character Ashley, who famously wore a white trench coat with a top, scarf, and pants that matched, showing off her fearless attitude toward the winter weather in New York City both on and off-screen.

She even struck the same cheeky pose, complete with sunglasses, on the Plaza Hotel steps that she had on the ‘Just My Luck’ poster almost twenty years prior.

Last week, Lohan made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi styled Lohan’s floral skeleton print asymmetric velvet dress and bright red Santoni boots. She layered on the wool-blend Magda Butrym coat once more to fend off the cold, wearing jewellery by Nina Runsdorf and Walters Faith.

At the ‘Irish Wish’ premiere earlier this month, Lohan started her all-white trend by dressing in an off-white, floor-length Galliano gown with spaghetti straps, a Sentaler coat, and Casadei shoes. Lohan posted glitzy pictures of herself and her loved ones on Instagram as a way to thank everyone for their support and affection.
