Macaulay Culkin received a warm welcome as he returned to the Golden Globe Awards after more than three decades.

The 45-year-old actor appeared on stage as a presenter during the ceremony on 11th January. While addressing the audience, he noted that it had been 35 years since his last appearance at the Globes, when he was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his iconic role in the 1990 holiday favourite 'Home Alone.'

As the crowd applauded, Macaulay Culkin thanked them with a smile before presenting the award for Best Screenplay, Motion Picture. He playfully acknowledged that audiences usually associate him with the holiday season, adding that he actually exists all year long, a lighthearted nod to the lasting popularity of 'Home Alone' and its 1992 sequel.

Culkin was last seen at the Golden Globes in 1991, when he attended the ceremony following his breakout success as Kevin McCallister. That year, the award ultimately went to Gérard Depardieu for 'Green Card.'

At this year's event, the Best Screenplay honour went to Paul Thomas Anderson for his film 'One Battle After Another'. Macaulay Culkin teased his return to the Golden Globes a few days earlier with an Instagram post sharing news that he would be among the night's presenters.
