Margot Robbie recently celebrated the upcoming release of 'Wuthering Heights' with an over-the-top bachelorette party inspired by the film.

During the recent episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' the 35-year-old actress shared that her friends surprised her with a playful, fake bachelorette party held in honour of her character, Catherine Earnshaw. The event featured a bold dress code and even included a private screening of the film, which Robbie stars in and co-produced.

At first, Margot Robbie thought the idea was a joke. She was confused by the plan to throw a bachelorette party for a fictional character, but her friends were fully committed to it. They even put together a mood board for the night. Robbie wore white corsets and lace, while her friends dressed in black lace and corsets, leaning into what she described as a very daring Victorian-inspired look.

Margot Robbie's First 'Wuthering Heights' Screening

The party also marked the first time Robbie watched her film 'Wuthering Heights' with her friends, an experience she said quickly turned chaotic. What started as a screening turned into a loud, high-energy night, with about 20 women cheering, shouting, and reacting dramatically throughout the movie.

She admitted that her friends barely paid attention to the film once her co-star Jacob Elordi appeared on screen. Elordi plays Heathcliff, Catherine's love interest, and his scenes sparked extremely loud reactions from the group. Robbie joked that the energy in the room was so intense it felt like it could register on a Richter scale, adding that it was probably best he was not there in person.

The group also played a drinking game during the screening. Each person picked a word and had to take a drink every time it was said in the movie. One friend ended up with the word Cathy, which is said repeatedly throughout the film, leading to a very rough night for her.

'Wuthering Heights,' directed by Emerald Fennell and based on Emily Brontë's 1847 novel, tells the dark and emotional story of Catherine and Heathcliff, exploring themes of obsession, jealousy, class conflict, and revenge. The film is set to be released in theatres on 13th February.
