Marvel Reveals and Deletes Another Title For The ‘Agatha’ Series

Marvel Studios is keeping fans on their toes with the latest developments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV shows. Recently, a new logo and title for one of the upcoming ‘Agatha’ series was revealed, only for the announcement to be swiftly deleted. With a limited number of Marvel films scheduled for release in 2024, the studio is focusing on expanding its television offerings on Disney+. Among these is a spinoff from the very first Marvel Studios series that debuted on Disney+ in early 2021.

As X-Men ’97 wraps up its first season next week, Marvel appears to be hinting at its next Disney+ original: a spinoff centred around Agatha Harkness from ‘WandaVision.’ The official Marvel Studios account on X (formerly Twitter) posted about the show, suggesting it has been retitled ‘Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe,’ a playful reference to ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.’

However, the post was deleted mere minutes after it went live, leaving fans puzzled. If this is indeed the new title, it would be the fourth time the show’s name has changed. Although the release date for Agatha remains unknown, the sudden deletion of the post has sparked speculation.

One possibility is that the post was simply a scheduling error by the social media team. Such mistakes are uncommon but not unheard of. Alternatively, Marvel Studios might be engaging in a bit of fun, playing with fan expectations and stirring up conversation. The new title could have been intended as a joke, seeing how fans would react to yet another name change for the Agatha series.

It’s also possible that more hints and details will surface in the coming days, potentially marking the beginning of Marvel’s marketing campaign for the show.

A more amusing theory is that the frequent title changes are integral to the show’s plot. Perhaps Agatha, much like Deadpool, is aware that she’s in a TV show and keeps altering the title as part of a running gag. Regardless of the final title, the Agatha Harkness series is slated to hit Disney+ this autumn.
