Marvel’s ‘WandaVision’ Spinoff Series at Disney Confirmed as ‘Agatha All Along’

The ‘WandaVision’ spinoff series, initially known by various titles such as ‘Agatha: House of Harkness’, ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’, ‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’, and ‘Agatha: The Lying Witch’ with Great Wardrobe, finally settled on a new name, ‘Agatha All Along,’ announced at Disney’s 2024 Upfront Presentation in New York on 14th May. The show is set to premiere with its first two episodes.

Continuing the narrative from ‘WandaVision’, the series follows Agatha Harkness after she’s stripped of her powers by Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen. Agatha endeavours to regain her abilities, enlisting some unexpected allies along the way.

The Marvel Studios production, headed by Jac Schaeffer, who also led ‘WandaVision,’ features Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos, and Brad Winderbaum as executive producers.

WandaVision, the first live-action MCU show on Disney+, garnered significant acclaim, earning 23 Emmy nominations, including one for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in a Limited Series for Kathryn Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha Harkness. The show’s memorable song ‘Agatha All Along’ won in the ‘Best Original Music’ and Lyrics category, inspiring the title for the upcoming spinoff series.

Disney’s Upfront presentation also unveiled release dates for other highly anticipated shows, including ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and ‘Ironheart’. Daredevil, initially facing delays, is now slated for a Disney+ debut in March 2025. Additionally, ‘Ironheart’, a spinoff from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, is scheduled for release next year.
