Meet Taylor Swift’s Band Members And Backup Singers

Taylor Swift and her talented team of backing musicians are such an integral part of her circle that they have their own group names and some even appear in her music videos. While Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl joked about his band’s “errors tour” due to live performance mistakes, Swift’s Eras Tour ensemble is a well-oiled machine, consisting of musicians and singers who have collaborated with her for years, both in the studio and on stage.

Swift’s band and backup singers are so close-knit that they have names — The Agency and The Starlights, respectively. These dedicated professionals accompany Swift wherever she’s needed, be it on the Eras Tour stage, during TV performances, or in the recording studio.

Michael Meadows, a guitarist, pianist, and vocalist, has worked with Swift since the ‘Fearless’ tour. David Cook, not to be confused with the American Idol winner, plays guitar and keyboard for Swift.

Matt Billingslea, who began drumming for Swift during her ‘Red’ era, regularly updates fans on the Eras Tour via Instagram and celebrates the release of ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).’ Max Bernstein, a guitarist who joined for the ‘Reputation’ tour, also posts updates from ‘The Eras Tour’ and confirmed his participation on ‘Speak Now’ (Taylor’s Version). Karina DePiano, a keyboardist and musical director, joined Swift’s team for ‘The Eras Tour,’ playing keys.
