Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard Brand: What’s Next for the Royal’s New Venture?
Meghan Markle’s ‘American Riviera Orchard’ brand is on track for a launch later this year. The Duchess of Sussex initially introduced her new lifestyle brand in March with a website and Instagram account. Despite reports of a “trademark setback” by the Daily Mail, which claimed issues with the U.S. Patents and Trademarks Office, the launch is proceeding as planned. PEOPLE has clarified that any irregularities in classification, such as those involving yoga blankets and picnic baskets, are typical in international trademark processes, and no further action is required.
Recently, Meghan was spotted at the G9 Ventures Summer Summit in the Hamptons, where she mingled with other influential women entrepreneurs, including Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Watts, and Julianne Hough. The event, which featured top brands like Spanx and Supergoop, provided a valuable networking opportunity for Meghan as she moved forward with her brand.

The name ‘American Riviera Orchard’ is a nod to Meghan and Prince Harry’s new life in Montecito, California, part of Santa Barbara, also known as the “American Riviera.” The brand’s first product, a strawberry jam, was revealed earlier this year and shared on social media by friends and celebrities such as Mindy Kaling and Kris Jenner. More recently, a new raspberry jam flavour was unveiled, hinting at an expanded product line that may also include pet accessories.
Meghan’s venture will reflect her passions for family, cooking, entertaining, and home decor, echoing the themes she explored on her former lifestyle blog, The Tig. Additionally, Meghan is reportedly working on a cooking and gardening show with Netflix, further solidifying her commitment to sharing her lifestyle and passions with a broader audience.
