Mel B has sparked fresh excitement among Spice Girls fans by hinting that the iconic pop group may be gearing up for a major celebration as they approach their 30th anniversary.
Talks of a reunion have circulated for years, but speculation gained momentum after all five original members came together for an impromptu performance at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party in April last year.

Building on earlier suggestions that the group would mark the milestone in some way, Mel B recently spoke to Extra, acknowledging the upcoming anniversary of their debut hit “Wannabe,” which was released in 1996. She implied that the group had time to plan something special over the next year, though she didn’t confirm any concrete details.
When asked about the likelihood of a full tour, she admitted that nothing had been finalized yet, adding that she’s always open to the idea.
Should a reunion tour take place, it would mark their first time touring together since the successful 2019 shows. Previous hopes for a performance at Glastonbury in 2023 were shut down when Mel C explained that scheduling conflicts prevented it.

In recent interviews, other members have also hinted at possible plans. Geri Halliwell-Horner expressed interest in regrouping, stating that coming back as a united front would be the most respectful approach. She emphasized the strong emotional connection the group shares, saying they’ve always supported and trusted one another.
Emma Bunton further fuelled reunion hopes when she released a festive version of “2 Become 1” last December. Mel C has also expressed interest in a Spice Girls reunion, noting that now seems like the right moment for them to return.
Separately, Geri Halliwell-Horner has updated the group’s signature “girl power” message to reflect a broader, more inclusive meaning in recent months.
