Michael J. Fox, Tracy Pollan Have Date Night at ‘A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’ Event

Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan marked the start of Parkinson’s Awareness Month by attending The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s ‘A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s’ event, held at Nashville’s Belmont University. 

The event, which took place recently, featured a red carpet gathering complete with an exclusive cocktail reception and a country music concert attended by notable artists such as Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, and Jason Isbell.

Michael J. Fox, known for his iconic roles and advocacy work since his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, has been a driving force behind The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Established in the fall of 2000, the foundation has raised substantial funds, exceeding $1.75 billion, to support research initiatives aimed at finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

During an appearance on CBS Mornings, Michael J. Fox shared insights into his motivation for founding the foundation, emphasising his desire to give a voice to those affected by Parkinson’s and advance field research efforts.

When asked about the secret to their long-lasting relationship, Fox humorously mentioned that they “make it up” as they go along, highlighting the adaptability and mutual understanding that have strengthened their bond over the years.
