Netflix Drops Trailer for Zack Snyder’s ‘Rebel Moon: Part Two’

If you didn’t see the first episode, ‘Rebel Moon: A Child of Fire,’ you missed Sofia Boutella’s riveting performance as Kora, a former warrior forced to fight when her planet is threatened by a malevolent galactic empire.

In this upcoming sequel, Kora teams up with characters like Djimon Hounsou’s gladiator, Doona Bae’s cyborg, and Staz Nair’s animal whisperer to go on a cosmic journey to gather allies against the approaching darkness.

Even though the group first thinks they have defeated the evil Atticus Noble, the threat still exists, setting up an incredible confrontation. Intense action scenes and a suggestion that Anthony Hopkins’ robot Jimmy will be participating more actively in the battle are hinted at in the latest teaser trailer.

Director Zack Snyder is working on extended director’s cuts of both movies in addition to ‘Rebel Moon – Part Two,’ with a six-hour total projected runtime. These versions, though, will be available after the original PG-13 edits. 

Although specifics are still lacking following the departure of former Netflix executive Scott Stuber, plans for spin-offs and sequels are also in the works.

The Netflix original film ‘Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver’ is scheduled to debut on 19th April.
