Rebel Wilson Called Sacha Baron Cohen ‘A–hole’, Claims She ‘Will Not Be Bullied or Silenced’

Rebel Wilson is making it clear who she’s referring to as an “a–hole” in her upcoming memoir. The ‘Pitch Perfect’ actress took to Instagram on Sunday night to assert, “I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers.”

She went on to name the individual she’s referring to as the “a–hole” in her book: Sacha Baron Cohen. Wilson expressed her discomfort while working on the 2016 film ‘The Brothers Grimsby’ with Baron Cohen.

A representative for Baron Cohen responded to Wilson’s claims, stating to PEOPLE, “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of ‘The Brothers Grimsby.'”

Wilson previously teased the inclusion of a chapter in her book where she names someone she worked with and considered a “massive a–hole.” In an Instagram video earlier this month, the Australian actress and comedian discussed her “no-a–holes policy” after her initial experiences in Hollywood.

In the caption of the video, Wilson further hinted at revealing the identity of the person in question in her memoir, Rebel Rising, available for pre-order. The ‘Senior Year’ star has previously discussed the challenging process of writing her memoir in a December 2023 video, providing glimpses of her signing copies of the book.

In the Instagram Story clip, Wilson can be seen autographing pages of her memoir while expressing her excitement for readers to discover a different side of her through the book. She said, “This is how I’m spending my nights of my holidays. Just another few thousand to go for the first people that buy the book.”
