Rod Stewart has teamed up with WaterAid to create a one-of-a-kind toilet installation at Glastonbury 2025 — a giant boom box-shaped loo covered in leopard print. The pop icon’s latest creative venture is situated close to the Pyramid Stage, where he’s scheduled to perform the coveted Sunday tea-time Legends slot.

The installation, dubbed the “Boombox Bog”, not only stands out visually but also plays a selection of Stewart’s classic hits such as ‘Sailing’ and ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’. It will also broadcast specially recorded water-themed messages from the singer, who co-designed the piece with the aim of raising awareness around global access to clean water and sanitation.

In a statement, Stewart explained that while he’s used to singing for packed crowds, nothing compares to the impact of clean water and safe sanitation. He acknowledged that while toilets might not be the most glamorous topic, they are essential, and millions still live without access to them. His collaboration with WaterAid, he said, was part of a broader effort to spark meaningful and lasting change.

Glastonbury 2025 officially opened its gates on 25th June and will run through to Sunday, 29th June. The current edition is especially notable, as it marks the final festival before a scheduled fallow year in 2026.

Rod Stewart Teases Extended Legends Set and Surprise Guests

Stewart’s performance will be his first Glastonbury appearance since headlining in 2022. He reportedly pushed for a longer performance time this year, requesting an extra 15 minutes to add to his original hour-and-a-quarter slot, as his typical shows usually run for two hours.

He also revealed that his Legends set will include a reunion with Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood, and hinted at the appearance of two additional surprise guests. While he acknowledged that he won’t be able to include every fan favourite, Stewart suggested the special guests would help deliver a memorable performance.
