The 2026 BRIT Awards nominations have sparked global buzz as BLACKPINK's Rosé and the animated blockbuster 'KPop Demon Hunters' secure major nods in international categories, marking a milestone for K-pop and global pop culture at one of the UK’s most prestigious music award ceremonies. This year's BRITs, which are scheduled for 28th February, at Co-op Live in Manchester, England, will honour both British and worldwide musical accomplishments, showcasing both up-and-coming performers and global blockbusters.

Importantly, Rosé's solo success and the animated phenomenon 'KPop Demon Hunters' signal not only artistic crossover appeal but also the growing mainstream influence of Korean artists across global entertainment.

Historic Nomination for 'KPop Demon Hunters' and 'Golden'

Not to be outdone, 'KPop Demon Hunters,' Netflix's animated music phenomenon, has also received significant BRIT nominations, creating a rare intersection between mainstream music awards and movie soundtracks. The movie's hallmark song, 'Golden,' which was voiced by Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami and sung in-universe by the fictional female group Huntr/x, is now nominated for both International Song of the Year and International Group of the Year.

Golden's worldwide success is a reflection of its wider influence: it has broken records for both viewership and streaming, dominated foreign music charts, and received significant honours including Best Original Song and Best Animated Feature at the Golden Globes.

The 2026 BRIT Awards: A Celebration of Diversity and Global Talent

On 28th February, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) will broadcast the 46th BRIT Awards from Manchester's Co-op Live. Host Jack Whitehall will oversee a night that promises to combine British and international musical greatness. Leading the nomination tally are British artists Olivia Dean and Lola Young, each with five nods across top categories, while international stars including Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and now K-pop-linked acts like Rosé and Huntr/x are recognized in key global categories.
