Ryan Reynolds Teases About Naming 4th Child After a Taylor Swift Song

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s fourth child’s name is still a mystery as Ryan jokes about Taylor Swift’s influence

During a recent appearance on the ‘Today’ show, Ryan Reynolds playfully dodged questions about the name of his and Blake Lively’s newest addition. When hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb brought up Taylor Swift’s references to their children in her songs, Reynolds quipped, “We always wait for Taylor to let us know the child’s name, and I’ll say this much: We’re still waiting.”

The couple’s older children, Betty, Ines, and James, have been mentioned in Swift’s songs, including ‘Betty’ from her 2020 album ‘Folklore’. Reynolds humorously acknowledged Swift’s prolific songwriting skills, joking, “She’s such a prolific writer — I mean, what chance do we have? And lazy is definitely not a word I’d use for Taylor.”

Reynolds previously revealed that they surprised their daughters with their inclusion in Swift’s songs, keeping it a secret until the songs were completed. The couple has maintained secrecy around their fourth child, whose arrival was announced in February 2023.

Despite their high-profile status, Reynolds and Lively prefer to keep details about their children private, including not finding out the sex of their children until birth.
