Ryan Reynolds Teases Post-Credit Scene For ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is facing a crucial turning point. With box office earnings declining and audience fatigue setting in, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige is rethinking the studio’s strategy. The sheer volume of MCU productions has overwhelmed viewers, prompting Disney and Marvel Studios to make significant changes.

In response to this shift in audience sentiment, Marvel is scaling back its film releases. In 2024 only one MCU movie will be released: ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ This film is set to redefine the MCU’s future. It will be the first ‘Deadpool’ movie produced under the Marvel Studios banner, and it promises to be a monumental event, akin to ‘Spiderman: No Way Home.’

Hugh Jackman is reprising his iconic role as Wolverine, and fans can look forward to numerous cameos from popular Marvel characters. Unlike previous family-friendly Marvel films, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will be the MCU’s first R-rated feature.

The film is already breaking conventions with its promotional material, filled with self-referential humour and jabs at Marvel Studios’ head, Kevin Feige.

This bold new approach could even extend to doing away with traditional post-credit scenes, a staple of MCU films since their inception.
