Ryan Reynolds Trolls Swifties For Thinking Taylor Swift Has a ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Cameo

Ryan Reynolds has got everyone buzzing with his latest Instagram stunt. He dropped a big hint that Taylor Swift might be making an appearance in the upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ film. But, being Ryan Reynolds, it’s hard to tell if he’s genuinely teasing a big surprise or just having a bit of fun with Swift’s fanbase.

The rumours about Taylor Swift joining the Marvel universe as the superhero Dazzler have been swirling for a while now. Dazzler, known for her ability to convert sound into light and energy beams, seems like a role tailor-made for Swift. This film, the third instalment in the Deadpool series, will also see Hugh Jackman return as Wolverine, which has already generated a lot of excitement.

In his Instagram Stories, Reynolds recreated the cover of Swift’s ‘Evermore’ album, but with a twist. Dressed in his Deadpool costume, he posed in a forest with his back to the camera, even adding the album’s title track to the story. It was a spot-on homage, but there was no confirmation from Reynolds about whether Swift would indeed be part of the film.

Back in 2022, Reynolds expressed his enthusiasm for the idea of Swift joining the Marvel film. “Are you kidding me? I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius,” he told Entertainment Tonight. Given their close friendship – Swift is a friend of Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively – the idea doesn’t seem too far-fetched. Swift’s ‘All Too Well’ music video was even filmed at Reynolds’ and Lively’s home, and Reynolds had a cameo in Swift’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ video.

Adding to the excitement, a new ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer dropped this week, featuring the return of an old X-Men adversary. In the trailer, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) shouts, “Who’s next?” before his longtime nemesis Sabretooth makes a dramatic entrance. Sabretooth, portrayed by Tyler Mane, last appeared in the 2000 X-Men film, battling Wolverine in a snowy forest.

The trailer ends with Deadpool offering some cheeky advice before the two enemies charge at each other.
