Ryan Reynolds Was Surprised And Grateful For Disney R-Rating ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’

Ryan Reynolds is astonished that Disney permitted ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ to maintain a ‘Hard R’ rating. The actor is set to reprise his role as the wise-cracking superhero in the eagerly anticipated blockbuster, and he expressed surprise that the studio allowed the film to feature adult-oriented content for a story that includes both Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Ryan shared his thoughts with Fandango, expressing pride in Disney for taking this bold step. He believes it adds a new dimension to the company’s diverse entertainment portfolio and commended their decision to allow creative freedom.

He emphasised that there was no other way to do justice to the characters and the world they inhabit, especially considering the success of ‘Logan’ as an R-rated film. Shawn Levy, who directed the superhero film, has promised that it will be a “two-hander character adventure” rather than just another instalment in the ‘Deadpool’ series.

He highlighted the unique opportunity of working with two massive movie stars in their most iconic roles, creating a fresh and distinctive narrative that sets it apart from the first two Deadpool movies. The film, which is set to be released, promises to deliver an unparalleled adventure featuring Deadpool and Wolverine.
