Sam Asghari has shared his perspective after Britney Spears recently reflected on their marriage in an emotional Instagram post.
Asghari’s spokesperson at BAC Talent highlighted that he regards their relationship as significant. He acknowledged that while their marriage was brief, the two had spent seven years together, and he expressed that he was deeply in love with Spears, would always care for her, and continues to wish her the best.
Spears, who is now 43, had described their marriage as the most difficult period of her life. In her post, she revealed that during that time, she felt isolated from her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline. She reflected on relying on denial and tears to cope, describing the marriage as something that almost felt like a distraction rather than a true partnership.

Sam Asghari on High Profile Relationships
Sam Asghari, now 31, has spoken previously about the challenges of being in a high-profile relationship. In a June 2025 interview, he admitted that while the visibility brought opportunities, it also created obstacles in his acting career. He recalled being criticised and underestimated, saying he often had to work harder to prove himself as more than just Spears' partner. The pair first met in 2016 on the set of Spears' 'Slumber Party' music video, where he played her love interest.
Despite the difficulties, Sam Asghari has often defended Britney Spears against public scrutiny. In 2023, when a documentary attempted to spotlight her conservatorship, he condemned members of her inner circle, calling their behaviour exploitative and harmful. He explained at the time that he never wanted to speak for Spears but felt it was wrong for others to profit off her story when she had been silenced for so long.
