Scott Foley is offering fans a glimpse into his unexpected return to the 'Scream' franchise in the upcoming 'Scream 7,' even though his character was killed off years ago.
In a recent interview, the 53-year-old actor, who played 'Scream 3' villain Roman Bridger, shared that his involvement in the new sequel was brief and came with very few details. Foley revealed that he hadn't even read the script before stepping on set and was simply asked to show up for a day of filming. Still, he said he's excited to see how everything comes together on screen.
Scott Foley on Returning to 'Scream 7'
Scott Foley described the experience as a fun and nostalgic return. Though his time on set was short, he was able to walk through Sidney Prescott’s old house and reconnect with longtime franchise stars Neve Campbell and David Arquette. He said it felt great to be back in that world again.

Scott Foley's character, Roman Bridger, was introduced in 'Scream 3' as a film director tied to the fictional 'Stab' movies before being revealed as the Ghostface killer. His character was ultimately killed by Dewey Riley, played by Arquette, at the end of the film. Despite that, Foley is one of several actors returning in 'Scream 7' whose characters previously died.
Matthew Lillard and David Arquette are also set to appear, though exactly how these characters return remains a mystery. Past films have used visions and ghostly appearances to bring back familiar faces.
