Ghostface is creeping back into the shadows, and Sidney Prescott is ready to face the nightmare once again.

Paramount released a new trailer for 'Scream 7,' giving fans another chilling look at the next chapter in the long-running horror franchise. The preview shows a new Ghostface killer coming face-to-face with Sidney, while also threatening the people closest to her, including her daughter, Tatum, played by Isabel May. The character appears to be named after Sidney's best friend, Tatum, who was famously killed by Ghostface in the original 1996 film.

The trailer is also set to air during the Super Bowl on 8th February. 'Scream 7' will make franchise history as the first instalment to be released in IMAX theatres.

Earlier 'Scream 7' Trailer

An earlier trailer, released on 30th October, centred on Ghostface targeting both Sidney and her daughter, with Sidney teaching Tatum the rules of survival. Courteney Cox also returns as Gale Weathers, who makes it clear she is ready to unmask the killer once and for all.

'Scream 7' Story

Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original 'Scream,' 'Scream 2,' and 'Scream 4,' directs the seventh film. The story follows Sidney in her life as a mother. Neve Campbell has played the iconic final girl in every Scream movie except Scream VI, which she skipped due to a salary dispute.

While Campbell's return is a major moment for fans, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who starred in the recent revival films, will not appear in 'Scream 7.' Barrera was removed from the project following social media posts about the Israel-Hamas war, and Ortega later chose to exit the film. Christopher Landon, who was originally attached to direct, also left the project after strong fan backlash, despite not being involved in Barrera's firing.
