Some 'Bridgerton' fans were so absorbed in the new season that they managed to spot a tiny detail most viewers would easily miss.
The moment appears in the very first episode of season 4, titled 'The Waltz,' during a lavish masquerade ball hosted by Violet Bridgerton, played by Ruth Gemmell. While she is speaking with a new character, Araminta, portrayed by Katie Leung, a small bandage can briefly be seen on Araminta's left ear.
At first glance, it seems harmless, but eagle-eyed viewers quickly pointed out the issue. Although the series is set in early 19th-century London, adhesive bandages like the one shown did not exist at the time. According to history buffs online, modern Band-Aids were not invented until 1920, making the accessory a clear period slip.

'Bridgerton' Error Buzz Online
A TikTok video highlighting the detail quickly gained traction, racking up tens of thousands of views and sparking debate among fans. Some agreed the bandage should have been better hidden, suggesting something like a decorative ear cuff would have fit the era more naturally. Others blamed ultra-high-definition screens for making every small imperfection impossible to miss.
Not everyone thought the moment was worth the attention, though. Many fans argued that the show is meant to be enjoyed rather than dissected frame by frame, with some joking that no one should be staring at characters' ears that closely. A few dismissed the discussion altogether, saying the mistake simply was not a big deal.

Meanwhile, Araminta’s character in 'Bridgerton' has far bigger concerns within the story. She is focused on securing strong matches for her two daughters, who are entering society this season, and protecting her own social standing at all costs. Netflix describes her as stylish, sharp-tongued, and highly ambitious.
Katie Leung has described Araminta as a powerful presence, fully aware that viewers may see her as a villain.
The first four episodes of 'Bridgerton’s latest season are now streaming on Netflix, with the remaining episodes set to arrive on 26th February.
