About 'Avengers: Doomsday'
The upcoming 'Avengers: Doomsday' will mirror the star-packed ensemble format of 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame,' uniting both legacy characters and newer heroes.
One of the biggest surprises is the return of Robert Downey Jr., who will not reprise Tony Stark but instead portray the film’s main antagonist, Doctor Doom. Other returning stars include Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, and Letitia Wright. The movie will also expand to include characters from the Fantastic Four,' 'Thunderbolts,' and 'X-Men' films.
Despite Shang-Chi's popularity, Simu Liu has not appeared in any MCU project since his standalone film debuted four years ago. He acknowledged that fans often tell him they miss seeing the character and assured that he hears this feedback constantly—sometimes multiple times a day. He added that the desire for more Shang-Chi is not limited to fans; he has felt that absence, too.
