Snoop Dogg Shares Heartwarming Photo With Granddaughter at Olympics

Snoop Dogg recently shared a heartwarming behind-the-scenes moment showcasing how he’s balancing his “grandfather duties” with his high-profile roles at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. In the photo, the iconic rapper and Olympic torchbearer kneels to tie his granddaughter’s Adidas sneakers while she stands beside him.

Snoop captioned the touching image, “Grandpa’s duties while at the Olympics 💕🇺🇸😘🔥,” highlighting the special role he plays both in his family and on the global stage. This post followed his participation in the Olympic torch relay, where he carried the torch through the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis during the opening ceremony.

His son Cordell Broadus also shared the same photo on his Instagram, expressing pride in his father’s accomplishments and reflecting on the event’s significance. Cordell wrote, “Medici Family @ the opening ceremony Daddy O accomplished another side mission the game is to be sold not told… 3 letters DNA ✅😤.”

Snoop Dogg, who has three children—Corde, Cordell, and Cori—with his wife Shante Broadus, revealed earlier this year on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ that he has twelve grandchildren of varying ages. He affectionately noted that he loves them all equally, regardless of their differences.

The torch-bearing role was especially meaningful to Snoop. He recounted the emotional impact of carrying the torch, drawing a parallel to Muhammad Ali’s iconic moment at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Snoop told NBC sportscaster Mike Tirico, “It was emotional for all of us to see the champ holding that torch and walking up there. This is my own version of it.”

Snoop added, “This says a lot about America as far as where we’re at in this world. At the same time, it says a lot about France as far as connecting the dots and allowing me to do this. I look at this as a prestigious honour and something I truly respect. I would have never dreamed of nothing like this.”
