Sofia Pernas Reveals Why Billie Turned Down Colter's Dinner Date

On-screen chemistry can be undeniable and that's certainly the case with Billie and Colter in the new CBS drama ‘Tracker’. Played by Sofia Pernas and Justin Hartley, these characters navigate a world of high-stakes bounty hunting, but beneath the professional facade, a simmering tension hints at a potential romance. 

However, a recent episode left viewers with a question mark: why did Billie decline Colter's dinner invitation?  According to actress Sofia Pernas, the answer lies in Billie's fear of vulnerability.

Pernas, during an interview, explains the complex dynamic between Billie and Colter. "There's this undeniable chemistry," she says, "but Billie is a very guarded person." This guardedness stems from the nature of Billie's work. As a bounty hunter, she thrives on maintaining a professional distance, a shield against the emotional toll of her job.

In a pivotal scene, Colter extends an invitation to Billie for dinner. Fans eager to see their connection blossom were left disappointed when Billie politely declined. Pernas delves into Billie's thought process: "I think she is terrified of being vulnerable," she reveals. 

Accepting the invitation would force Billie to acknowledge the attraction she feels for Colter, potentially jeopardising their professional partnership or even leading to heartbreak.

Billie's decision to shut down Colter's invitation highlights a key aspect of her character development.  Throughout the series, viewers will likely see her grapple with this fear of vulnerability. Pernas acknowledges the audience's desire for Billie and Colter to explore their connection. "The fans are definitely rooting for them," she admits. 

However, she suggests that the slow-burn approach may be more rewarding: "Sometimes the best relationships are the ones that take time to develop."

While the future remains uncertain for Billie and Colter, Pernas hints at an exciting journey ahead.  "There are more layers to Billie and Colter's relationship yet to be explored," she teases. 

This suggests that viewers can expect to see their dynamic continue to evolve, potentially leading to a future where Billie overcomes her fear and embraces a deeper connection with Colter.
