Sophie Turner Reveals Which Character She Wants to Play in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Sequel

The 2006 classic, ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt, has left a lasting mark on Hollywood. Disney’s recent announcement of a sequel has fans buzzing with excitement, eager to see the iconic trio back on screen. However, there’s a twist: none of the original cast members have confirmed their return just yet.

In an interesting development, Sophie Turner, known for her role in ‘Game of Thrones,’ has expressed keen interest in joining the remake. During an interview with Elle, when asked if she’d like to sign up for the film, Turner enthusiastically responded with a “yes”. She even revealed her dream role: “Oh, my god. I’d want to be like an Emily Blunt character, I think. Or like one of Miranda Priestley’s minions—well, like Emily Blunt [in the first movie]. Oh, my god. I can’t wait for that movie. Cast me! I’m free!”

Anne Hathaway, speaking to E! News, provided some insight into the sequel. According to her, the second part will present a fresh storyline as a direct continuation isn’t feasible. Reports suggest that Meryl Streep might reprise her role as the formidable Miranda Priestly, though the roles of Blunt and other characters are still undecided.

Hathaway mentioned that one of the reasons for the original film’s success was the strong rapport among the cast members. “The reason that movie felt so special was that we were a team and we did that work, but really it’s the love that everybody pours into it.”

The sequel’s plot will again revolve around Miranda Priestly and her dedicated team. The story focuses on Miranda tackling the decline of her once-thriving fashion magazine. Interestingly, it seems the only person who can save the day is her former assistant, Emily Charlton, now a high-powered executive at a luxury fashion group.
