Steven Spielberg has just added another major milestone to his legendary career by winning his very first Grammy, officially making him an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards) winner.
The iconic filmmaker earned the award at the 1st February Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as a producer of the documentary 'Music By John Williams,' which won Best Music Film. The documentary celebrates the life and career of composer John Williams, Spielberg's longtime creative partner and one of the most influential film composers of all time.

Steven Spielberg's Documentary
The documentary film takes a deep dive into Williams' extraordinary body of work, including his unforgettable scores for 'E.T.,' 'Jaws,' 'Jurassic Park,' 'Indiana Jones,' and 'Schindler's List.' It highlights both his musical genius and his decades-long collaboration with Steven Spielberg.
With this Grammy win, Spielberg joins the exclusive group of artists who have earned competitive wins across all four major awards: the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. He already holds multiple Oscars and Emmys, along with a Tony Award he won in 2022 for producing the Broadway musical 'A Strange Loop.'

Steven Spielberg now stands alongside other famous EGOT winners such as Elton John, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Whoopi Goldberg, Mel Brooks, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Audrey Hepburn, and John Gielgud.

Although Spielberg was not present to accept the Grammy, the film's director, Laurent Bouzereau, took the stage and thanked him for helping bring the story of one of the greatest musical voices in history to life.
The awards momentum may not be over just yet. Steven Spielberg is also in the running for another Oscar as a producer on 'Hamnet,' the upcoming drama directed by Chloe Zhao, which has received multiple Academy Award nominations. Spielberg has spoken highly of Zhao, praising her deep artistic connection to the world around her.

At 93, John Williams has spoken several times about retiring, but he continues to return for special projects. He most recently composed music for 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' in 2022 and is set to reunite with Spielberg once again for the upcoming film 'Disclosure Day.'
With his Grammy win now secured, Steven Spielberg's place in entertainment history is officially sealed.
