‘Succession’ Star Brian Cox to Voice Santa Claus in New Netflix Film

It’s official that Brian Cox will play Santa Claus in the upcoming Netflix film ‘That Christmas.’ Acclaimed for his work in ‘Succession,’ the actor now appears in the animated film alongside a star-studded cast that includes Bill Nighy, Jodie Whittaker, and Fiona Shaw. ‘That Christmas’ is based on a children’s book series written by well-known director Richard Curtis, who has directed successful films such as ‘Love Actually’ and ‘Bridget Jones.’

Notable actors like Katherine Parkinson, Sindhu Vee, Alex Macqueen, Lolly Adefope, and Cox are expected to join the cast. The director of the movie is Simon Otto, who previously worked on ‘How To Train Your Dragons.’

Director Otto talked about how excited he was about the project, calling it a realization of a childhood dream. Vriety reports that ‘That Christmas’ will be released later in the year.

Cox recently said that he would be willing to play Logan Roy in ‘Succession’ again if the chance ever presented itself. But he also underlined how crucial it is to end the program at the appropriate moment, complimenting creator Jesse Armstrong for keeping the show from running too long. Cox praised Armstrong’s storytelling style and said it’s important to leave the audience wanting more.
