Sydney Sweeney on Angus Cloud’s Death: “It Was Just Such a Shock”

Sydney Sweeney has recently opened up about the profound sadness she continues to experience following the untimely passing of her ‘Euphoria’ co-star, Angus Cloud, who tragically left us at the age of 25 earlier this year.

Despite gearing up for the production of ‘Euphoria Season 3’ alongside her co-stars, Sydney finds it challenging to come to terms with the fact that Angus won’t be part of the upcoming season.

Sweeney shared the heartfelt struggles she and her co-stars are facing as they try to support each other through phone calls and tears. The sudden loss of Angus has left them all in a state of shock. “We were constantly on the phone with each other crying,” Sydney revealed. “Because it was just such a shock.”

Expressing her ongoing difficulty in accepting the reality of Angus’ absence, she stated, “I don’t think it’ll truly feel real or hit me until we’re filming and I won’t see Angus on set.” She continued, “When we are filming, all of our eyes are on each other, and we’re there for each other, just in a different way than we’re able to when we’re all in very separate places in the world.”

Reflecting on the unique impact of a colleague’s passing in the entertainment industry, Sydney remarked, “It’s really interesting when someone passes away in our industry because they’re still alive in so many forms.”
