Sylvester Stallone Thinks Ryan Gosling Can Be a Good Rambo

Sylvester Stallone hinted at the possibility of Ryan Gosling taking over one of his iconic roles during his recent appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.' Stallone revealed that Gosling expressed admiration for Stallone's character Rambo from the movie series, indicating a potential passing of the baton.

During the show, Stallone reminisced about meeting Gosling at a dinner and noted their physical differences, with Gosling being the epitome of good looks while Stallone joked about not sharing the same traits. However, despite their contrasts, Gosling confessed his fondness for the Rambo movies, even recounting instances of dressing up as the character for school despite facing ridicule from classmates.

Stallone, reflecting on Gosling's affinity for the Rambo character, mused about the prospect of passing on the role if the opportunity arose. The actor, known for his portrayal of the troubled Vietnam War veteran, expressed his willingness to consider Gosling for the part, citing Gosling's genuine admiration for the character.

The Rambo franchise, which commenced with 'First Blood' in 1982 and culminated with 'Rambo: Last Blood' in 2019, has yet to announce a sequel. Stallone hinted at various ideas for the franchise's future, including a potential streaming series exploring either a prequel or a contemporary storyline where he passes the torch to a new character.

Interestingly, Gosling himself has previously shared anecdotes about his childhood obsession with Rambo, admitting to going to extreme lengths such as bringing toy knives to school after being mesmerized by the character.
