Acknowledging her roots and those who played pivotal roles in her life, she extended heartfelt thanks to her parents, her godparents, and the entire TDE family. SZA’s voice quivered with emotion as she confessed, “I’m sorry, I’m just really overwhelmed. You don’t really understand. I came really, really far, and I can’t believe this is happening. It feels very fake.”

In a touching moment, she seized the opportunity to recognize Taylor Swift in the audience, infusing a dash of humour by admitting, “And I’m… Hi Taylor! I’m just really grateful. And I’m not an attractive crier. Have a good evening.”

SiR & Alex Isley’s ‘Back to Love’ and Victoria Monét’s ‘On My Mama.’ ‘Snooze’ also contributed to SZA’s impressive tally of nine nominations, securing her position as the most-nominated artist at the 2024 Grammys.

Among her multiple nods were recognitions for song of the year, best R&B performance and record of the year for ‘Kill Bill.’
