Taylor Swift Hilariously Addresses Piano Malfunction at Milan Eras Tour

Taylor Swift thinks there’s been a glitch! During her second Eras Tour show in Milan, the 34-year-old singer surprised fans with two mashups during the secret song segment. The mishap occurred after she performed a guitar mashup of ‘Fearless’ (Taylor’s Version) vault track ‘Mr. Perfectly Fine’ and ‘Red’ from ‘Red (TV)’. When she transitioned to the piano for a mashup of Reputation’s ‘Getaway Car’ and ‘Out of the Woods,’ her flower-painted piano malfunctioned right after the opening lines.

“We have finally broken this thing,” Swift joked as she peeked under the piano’s lid, as seen in a fan video on TikTok. A crew member also attempted to fix the instrument.

Another fan video on X (formerly Twitter) captures the triumphant moment when the piano was fixed. Swift closed the lid and exclaimed, “Oh, I did it!” She has performed ‘Getaway Car’ three other times on the Eras Tour, most memorably with frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff in East Rutherford, N.J.

Before arriving in Milan, Swift played two shows in Switzerland, marking her first performances in the “stunningly beautiful” country, as she described on Instagram. To celebrate her 113th concert on the Eras Tour, she delighted fans with her favourite songs during the secret songs segment.

She started with the evermore track ‘Right Where You Left Me’ and the 1989 song ‘All You Had To Do Was Stay,’ followed by Speak Now tracks ‘Last Kiss’ and ‘Sad Beautiful Tragic’ to commemorate the one-year anniversary of ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’. Reflecting on her tour, Swift noted on Instagram “Pretty wild to think we only have 7 cities left on the European leg of the tour.”

Expressing her excitement, she said she’s “been looking forward to playing” in Milan for a long time. Since starting the European leg of her tour in France this May, Swift has released a new album, revamped her setlist to include ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ tracks, and went Instagram official with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, with a royal selfie.

Kelce, 34, even made his stage debut during the June 23 performance at Wembley Stadium in London, helping Swift during the costume change skit before ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.’ He has attended all three of her London shows, as well as concerts in Kansas City, Argentina, Australia, Singapore, France, Ireland, and Amsterdam. Numerous celebrities have also joined the crowd at her shows.

After Milan, Swift’s record-breaking tour will continue to Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, and Munich in Germany, Warsaw in Poland, Vienna in Austria, and then back to London for five more Wembley Stadium shows. The Eras Tour will conclude this December.
