Taylor Swift Performs ‘Dear Reader’ Live For The First Time in Japan

Taylor Swift delighted fans during her recent performance at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, where she live debuted ‘Dear Reader,’ a beloved deep cut from her album ‘Midnights’. The song, which originally featured on the ‘3 am Version’ of the album, had never before been performed live.

Adding to the excitement, Swift surprised the crowd with a rendition of ‘Holy Ground’ from her ‘Red’ album as part of her spontaneous “surprise songs” segment.

This Tokyo show marked Swift’s first live performance of 2024 and she’s set to continue her tour with stops in Australia and Singapore, treating fans across the APAC region.

Swift’s star power was further solidified at the 2024 Grammys, where she not only scooped up ‘Album of the Year’ for ‘Midnights’ but also made history by becoming the all-time leader in ‘Album of the Year’ wins. This impressive feat saw her surpass legends like Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon and Frank Sinatra, each of whom had previously held three wins in the category.

The singer-songwriter has also announced her upcoming album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘, set to drop this April. This will mark her 11th studio album, following the success of ‘Midnights’ in 2022 and her recent re-recordings of ‘Speak Now’ and ‘1989’. ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is confirmed to feature collaborations with none other than Post Malone and Florence + The Machine.
