Taylor Swift's Disney+ docuseries has finally spilled the beans on who set her up with Travis Kelce.
In episode four of 'Taylor Swift: The End of an Era,' titled 'Thank You for the Lovely Bouquet,' Swift, 36, and her mom, Andrea, shared how Kelce first caught Andrea's attention. While browsing headlines online, Andrea noticed that Kelce had attended one of Taylor's concerts, bringing a friendship bracelet and hoping to meet her. Curious, Andrea called her cousin Robin, a Kansas City Chiefs expert, to learn more about him.
Taylor Swift's Mom Was Impressed by Travis Kelce
Andrea immediately got a positive impression from Robin, who described Kelce as incredibly kind and devoted to his mom. Recognising this as a green flag, Andrea then had the challenge of figuring out how to get Taylor to meet him.

Taylor admitted she had previously felt "very non-athlete" and wasn't sure what she and Kelce would even talk about on a first date. Andrea encouraged her to try something new, pointing out that Kelce was cute and thoughtful. The gesture of the friendship bracelet, a memento from Taylor's world, impressed Andrea and signalled his earnest intentions.
Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift's First Date
On their first date, Kelce had to explain football to Taylor, which she described as "violent chess." She quickly became fascinated with him and even more interested in learning about the sport. Both mother and daughter agreed that Kelce brought a lot of joy into Taylor's life, especially after her two breakups earlier in the tour.

Taylor described Kelce as a "yes guy" who thrives in the spotlight and brings energy and happiness wherever he goes. Andrea added that he is one of the happiest people she's ever met and spreads that positivity to everyone around him.
Reflecting on the unusual start to their romance, Taylor Swift joked about how it all began with Kelce saying he was "butt hurt" that she didn't want to meet him. The couple announced their engagement in August, sharing the news on Instagram with the playful caption.
